Meet dr. Bicknell

Meet Your Doctor

In 1988, Dr. Bicknell founded Bicknell EMG in Shreveport, Louisiana. He received acknowledgement as a Diplomat of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, as well as the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine shortly thereafter. He completed medical school and his internship at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport, and his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, TX. There he was named Chief Resident his final year.

Dr. Bicknell has devoted his outpatient practice to Electrodiagnostic Medicine for the past 33 years where he has performed over 35,000 electrodiagnostic examinations. He was previously the Medical Director of Willis Knighton Health System’s Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine, the Shreveport Medical Society and the Louisiana State Medical Society.

He was previously the physician member of the LA State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners, as well as a board member for the Shreveport Medical Society.

Dr. Bicknell and his wife, Amy, have two grown children. When not working he most enjoys spending time with his family, as well as traveling, reading and staying fit. He also serves as a community volunteer for several local organizations.
